Firstly I would like to congratulate you on successful resistance against Russian invasion of your country. Mr. president the world is admiring you, your people and your military for heroic struggle against Russian facsist leadership’s expansionism. We, South Azerbaijani people truly understand the amount of pain and suffering Ukrainians are going through these days. In the last 100 years of our history, South Azerbaijan was occupied by Russian forces 2 times, agricultural lands were burned, cities were destroyed, hundreds of thousands of people were displaced, injured, raped and killed. Still, under Iranian-persian occupation, we are suffering to this day. Azerbaijani people in general and South Azerbaijanis under Iranian occupation, understand you, sympathize with you and fight alongside your people against Russian aggression.
Dear Mr. president, South Azerbaijanis are ready to be part of “Ukraine’s international legion of foreign fighters”, to help with the people of Ukraine in this difficult time. We want Ukrainian people to know that South Azerbaijani people’s hearts and minds are with you in every aspect to get our region rid of Russian expansionism. We will only rest when perpetrators of the crimes against humanity in Russian fascist regime receives punishment, when Russian occupying forces leave Ukraine, Georgia, Caucuses and Republic of Azerbaijan.
Long live friendship between Ukrainian and South Azerbaijani people.
