Statement by the South Azerbaijan Independence Party Condemning Executions of Non-Persian Activists in Iran
The South Azerbaijan Independence Party strongly condemns the recent executions of political activists from Arab, Kurdish, and Baloch communities, as well as the planned execution of two South Azerbaijani activists on unsubstantiated charges of espionage for Israel by the Iranian regime.
Since the occupation of non-Persian territories, successive Iranian regimes have relied on imprisonment, torture, and execution to maintain their illegitimate rule. These regimes have never been recognized as legitimate by the oppressed nations within Iran.
The non-Persian nations—Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Arabs, Baloch, Turkmen, and others—remain the primary challenge to Iranian centralist control. Their liberation movements are met with severe repression, especially during times of political crisis when the regime’s grip weakens.
The recent surge in executions is a deliberate attempt by the regime to suppress dissent and extend its occupation through fear and intimidation.
We call for the immediate and unconditional halt to all executions and the release of all political prisoners. We urge international human rights organizations to pressure the Iranian regime to end its campaign of terror and repression.
The South Azerbaijan Independence Party reiterates its demand for the complete withdrawal of Persian occupying forces from the territories of South Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kurdistan, Ahvaz, Balochistan, and all other non-Persian regions. Governance must be returned to the rightful owners of these lands.
We call on all political parties and organizations of non-Persian nations to unite in the struggle for liberation. The path to freedom lies in ending the occupation and establishing independent national governments.
Long live the united resistance of non-Persian nations against Iranian occupation.
South Azerbaijan Independence Party
